The eWorks! Career Leagues program is your launchpad to success. We'll empower you to unlock exciting career paths in healthcare and public service, develop in-demand professional skills, and provide direct introductions to hiring managers.
As a member of our dynamic fall or spring cohort, you’ll become part of a community of driven peers, inspiring mentors and employers. You'll gain exclusive access to recruiting activities that may include employer-led events, networking opportunities and more. There is no fee to join this program.
Program Eligibility & Requirements
You must meet the following core requirements in order to participate:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have a valid Social Security number.
- Must be 18 or older
- This program is grant funded, age requirements may apply. Please submit an interest form to see if you qualify.
- Must complete an application for eWorks! Career Leagues.
- Must meet military selective service registration requirements, if applicable.

Benefits to Joining eWorks! Career Leagues
Community:
Students will join a like-minded cohort of peers who share the same passion for healthcare and public service, participating together in exclusive events and activities such as career treks, panels, etc.
Professional Development:
Members will participate in engaging career readiness workshops and job-readiness training toward in-demand occupations in healthcare and public service. They gain priority access to exclusive professional networks, direct introduction to employers within their field, and may take part in on-the-job training opportunities. San Diego-based internships, micro-internships, and work-based learning opportunities are offered based on availablity, along with connections to additional career readiness experiences. Members may also have opportunities to pursue optional professional certificates.
Career Support:
Members will receive ongoing advising and dedicated job search support. This includes assistance developing a professional presence with a job-ready resume and professional profiles on LinkedIn and Handshake and career coaching up to one year following employment. Students may be considered for financial support or stipend opportunities, which may be available to eligible participants to help support their career development.

After you submit an interest form, our team will review it to see if you are eligible for the program. Then, our team will contact you and send you an intake application.
Program Schedule & Commitments
This is a semester-long commitment that requires the following:
- Attending regular meetings with a dedicated SDSU Career Services representative.
- Participating in career readiness workshops.
- Ready to work and willing to participate in job search activities and interviews.

Once enrolled, cohorts will be engaged in the program for approximately four months. Students can expect to commit to up to two hours per week. One hour will be dedicated to career development workshops and curriculum. Another hour may be dedicated to a sessions with a career navigator, professional panels, or networking sessions.
