Meet the Team

The Career Management Team oversees the career management cycle and leads at an institutional and regional level to support the strategic planning of workforce development, career management and education, and all elements of the career development process. The focus areas of this team include career and major exploration, experiential learning, employment preparation, career navigation, professional development, event planning, continuing education, planning, career counseling, curriculum design and integration, career cluster leadership, workforce development trends/metrics, and workforce policy trends.

The Industry Relations Team coordinates campus and regional industry relations activities with a focus on workforce and economic development, hiring, job/internship development, and business development. The focus areas of this team include recruiting events and services, external relations and outreach, marketing communications, industry event planning, industry cluster leadership, industry trends/metrics, industry webinars, workforce and economic development strategy, and business development/revenue. The focus areas of this team include strategic planning implementation of industry-focused business-to-business (B2B) engagement strategies to support talent acquisition including recruitment lifecycles, internship design and B2B professional development.

The Infrastructure and Outcomes Team designs and sustains systems and processes that support departmental operations. The focus areas of this team include technology, research and development, finance, human resources, customer relations, reporting/outcomes, administration/operations, special projects, facilities, on-campus interviewing coordination, contract and grants management, and risk management.

Industry Consultants are part of a pilot program designed to support the career advancement of SDSU students and alumni. Industry Consultants offer their expertise and time to advise students and alumni on an array of professional development topics. SDSU students and alumni may schedule an appointment with an Industry Consultant on Handshake.
