• BIOCOM.org - This website was created by BIOCOM and its partners to increase the awareness of Southern California's world-class careers and educational opportunities.

• Travel Nurse Jobs - American Traveler offers travel nurse jobs with high salaries and best benefits in the travel nursing industry at leading U.S.hospitals nationwide. Retired nurses can also continue their nursing career at a corporate level.

• Sustainable Pathways - Site which focuses is on linking graduating students up with environmental-related jobs (entry-mid level). Previously, this site required a paid membership. They have changed this policy and now the site is free to students, educational institutions, non-profit organizations and government agencies.

• CalOpps.org - Public agency employment opportunities in California, searchable by region, job type, and salary level. As of March 4, 2008, only about 320 openings from 60+ agencies listed, but worth a look.

• Nurse-Jobs.US - This site is partnered with the leading hospitals, travel nurse companies and recruitment agencies to help you find nurse jobs.

• Access Nurses - A leading nurse staffing agency, servicing healthcare facilities in all 50 states.

• Randstad.com - A global employment board for Randstad Work Solutions.

• Jobinitiative.com - a new non profit organization which intends to provide job vacancies all over the world.

• GeographyJobs.com - Employment board for jobs in urban planning, the environment, transportation planning, GIS and more. Allows job seekers to post their resume and all services are free of charge.

• CityTownInfo - A free web resource that provides information on careers and colleges.

• Elite Farmer -Find links and articles about crops, livestock, breeders societies and associations, colleges, agricultural machinery manufacturers, auction markets, newspapers - anything related to farming on the web.

• Education Portal - Education-portal.com is a resource hub for students and working professionals to research career paths, degree programs, and schools within their chosen disciplines.

• Career TV - CareerTV is the first and only global television programmer and interactive website designed to help college students and young professionals develop long-lasting successful careers with the world's top employers.

• ESL Jobs World - Job board which focuses on connecting English teachers with employers from around the world. It has a clean, straightforward interface to help English teachers find jobs quickly and connect with employers easily. The site is free for both teachers and employers.

• Medpostings.com - a new medical job board that that covers all medical specialties (nursing, allied health, physician, dental and medical administration).

• Ajilon Global - Ajilon is a global leader in managed services, consulting and specialized recruiting with nearly 500 offices in 17 territories throughout the world including North America, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. The company provides solutions in the following specialty areas: information technology, engineering, finance and accounting, legal, office support, and sales and marketing. Ajilon is part of the Adecco Group - the largest human resource services company in the world.

• OceanCareers.com - This web site will provides current information on career opportunities, the knowledge and skills required to enter these careers, where students can gain the necessary education, employers who hire people to work in these careers, and much more.

• NGOabroad - provides frugal, customized international volunteer options and helps people enter international humanitarian work.

• Care.com - Care.com is the premiere source of trustworthy care options for every family member, from children to elderly parents, and even pets. In addition to caregiver listings, Care.com also provides access to articles and advice for families and their caregivers.

• Careerjet.be - Careerjet.be is an employment search engine for Belgium. It allows you to search a growing selection of jobs listed on company sites as well as jobsites in one go saving you the trouble of having to go to each site individually.

• Biohealthmatics.com - Biohealthmatics.com is a very comprehensive website which provides not only social networking features, but a knowledge center, jobs and resumes databases, career advice articles, industry articles, latest industry news, company profiles, a web directory for online resources and discussion forums.

• HealthCareer Advisors, LLC - U.S. based healthcare recruiting and medical staffing solutions firm.

• nPost.com - site dedicated to tech startups. Offers a great resource for students who are looking to work with or begin their own startup. Entrepreneur Interviews: interviews with tech entrepreneurs. Startup Jobs: a job board solely focused on startup jobs.

• GetTheJob.com - Vertical job search engine for direct employer jobs only. Job postings from the corporate career centers of thousands of companies, indexing over 2 million jobs at any time. Free registration required to apply for jobs directly through the site, but browsing is free, and links are provided to the companies' websites for direct applications. GetTheJob also includes company profiles at a glance, with stock information, recent press releases, and more helpful data.

• Association of Talent Agents - Free job listings from the non-profit trade association representing the finest talent agencies in the show-business industry. A rare "official" opportunity for job listings in this competitive, exciting line of work.

• CareerJournal - The Executive Career Site from the Wall Street Journal. Not just for people who work on Wall Street or in corner offices - the advice, articles, and resources cover interviewing, resume writing, career planning, and lots more.

• Govtjobs.com - State and local government job opportunities from across the country, oplus thousands of links to cities, counties, municipal leagues, national associations, and federal agencies. No registration required to search jobs and view resources.

• EducationAmerica.Net (EAN) - Education jobs in hundreds of job categories not just for teachers but also Nurses, Counselor, Accountants, Computer Services, Community Relations, Cooks/Chefs, Paraprofessional, Psychologist, Programmers, Therapists and much more.

• Germany-USA Career Center - The leading online recruiting source for companies active both in the U.S. and in Germany (and other German-speaking countries).

• GetATravelJob.com - Powered by the Travel Industry Association, it's a comprehensive online job bank of all segments in the travel and tourism industry. Free job searching, résumé posting, and other features.

• 123careerchanger.com - A California jobsite with a section devoted exclusively to internships, entry-level and student jobs. It also has a career resources section with resume and cover letter writing tips, interview tips, etc.

• Dice.com - Tech-centric job listings and résumé posting, as well as resources and articles relevant to the job search and tech job market around the country. Note: While Dice.com is free, some resource links point to commercial, fee-based services.

• Indeed.com - A meta-search engine for jobs - one-click search of millions of jobs and internships from sources such as Monster, Hotjobs, Careerbuilder, Craigslist, the New York Times, Fortune 500 corporate websites, and thousands of other sources. Allows job seekers to save searches and have new jobs delivered by e-mail alert, RSS feed and Instant Messenger.

• Niche job search sites: Check out these aptly-named sites: Nursing Job Finder, ESL Employment, GIS Job Finder, Jobs in Music, Flight Attendant Jobs, Jobs in Radiology, and Hydrology Jobs.

• Public Sector Careers in the UK - The site promotes career opportunities in the UK public sector. Job seekers can search a broad range of council jobs, NHS jobs, education jobs, housing jobs and charity jobs.

• Government Jobs in California - Privately run but very thorough clearinghouse of job search pages with a variety of state, county, and city governments, in all categories from education to law enforcement.

• Career Education - Lots of tips and advice on a wide variety of career-related topics. Simple, short, and to the point. Not exhaustive, but a good place to start.

• Education America - Thousands of teaching and education job opportunities from public and private schools from across the U.S. Free to search, browse and register. Registration not required to view job openings.

• Education Canada - Find thousands of available teaching and administrative job opportunities from British Columbia to Nunavut to Newfoundland and Labrador .  Free to search, browse and register. Registration not required to view job openings.

• TeachingJobs.com - Thousands of teaching and support jobs listed in more than 6 countries around the world, including the US, Canada, and the UK. Free to search jobs, post a resume, and post job openings.

• Study Guide Zone - Not a job search site, but a useful collection of study guides for hundreds of tests, from high school exit and college entrance exams to vocational and technical certification and licensing tests.

• Jobs UK - WORKgateways - A recruitment and information portal that aids in organizing UK jobs for travelers from all over the world.  If you are planning to work in the UK, this site will help you with everything you need to know.

• JamminJobs.com - A wealth of links and information about a wide variety of careers. Free access includes large library of over 350 videos about career options from agriculture to information technology and everything in between. Job listings, resume postings, etc.

• Job Star - A wealth of information about writing resumes, looking for jobs, and salary surveys, as well as links to useful sites with job search engines and more articles and research material. Provided by the Public Library system, with specific information for San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area.

• MedJobScout - A free healthcare job search engine with over 50,000 jobs listed and a large directory of healthcare practitioners. Easily searchable by profession, specialty, and geographical region.

• WomensJobList.com (Search and Post Jobs) and WomensResumeList.com (Search and Post Resumes) - Job board and resume database dedicated to career advancement for women. Obviously, the jobs are open to both genders, but this site highlights employers that do their best to diversify their workforce.

• ExecSearches - Opportunities for those seeking mid-level to executive positions in various not-for-profit industries and other socially responsible organizations including philanthropy, education and social services. If you're interested in this field, make sure you check out Civic Learning and Community Engagement, SDSU's resource for encouraging and facilitating the active engagement of the SDSU community with the San Diego community.

• PageBites - An innovative site with a meta-search engine for jobs, allowing users to access listings from a number of job boards, for positions in California and across the nation. Also provides users with 10 MB of space to post their resume and supporting documents (cover letter, portfolio, etc.).

• TeleportJobs.com - Totally free to job seekers and employers. Registration required to view some company details and to apply through the site, but many job listings have direct contact information.

• San Diego Reader Backpage Classifieds - The San Diego Weekly Reader's classified section online. Similar in many ways to craigslist, localized to SD (and nearly 20 other communities, listed on the right). Home page here, with links to ads for things other than jobs.

• Craigslist - the original grass roots online classifieds site, now a bona fide phenomenon. Started in the Bay Area, now localized to nearly 200 cities all over the world, on every continent except Antarctica.

• CareerJet.com - Careerjet is an employment search engine for the USA, with links to partner sites all over the world. It allows you to search a growing selection of jobs listed on company sites as well as jobsites in one go, saving you the trouble of having to go to each site individually.

• EuroBrussels.com - Find your perfect job in Brussels, the EU institutions, or international organisations. Why Brussels? It's the seat of the EU and many significant European NGOs.

• Jobs in the Wine Industry.com - Free job search and resume posting for job seekers in this specialized field.

• NationJobSearch.com and CareerOverview.com - Two complementary sites run by the same non-commercial outfit. NationJobSearch has links to hundreds of job search sites in lots of different fields. CareerOverview provides descriptions of many different occupations (similar to the information in the Occupational Outlook Handbook and our "What Can I Do With a Major in...?" section).

• The Best Places to Work in the Federal Government - Compiled by the Partnership for Public Service and American University's Institute for the Study of Public Policy Implementation (ISPPI). Features rankings of the civil service agencies, cabinet offices, and other federal workplaces by the people who work there. Searchable by a variety of criteria.

• Variety Careers - Variety, the leading entertainment industry daily newspaper, runs this site of entertainment and media jobs - not just for F&TV majors!

• San Diego Urban League - The UL of San Diego has a free job search engine and a ton of other information for job seekers and employers who value diversity.

• Tools for career exploration - the California Employment Development Dept. web site is full of great information. Their new Labor Market Information web site is also useful.

• Trabango.org - In addition to a job search database, Trabango.org conducts video, audio, and written informational interviews with individuals in various
  industries and at all career levels. This information is free for visitors to the site. Our goal is to provide real world career information so college students can make informed decisions when choosing a career.

• JobPostings.net - A print magazine and online resource for job hunting, especially for college students. You can sometimes find a copy of the magazine on campus, in or near the Career Services office (SSE-1200).

• JobTiz - Jobs and Careers in California.

• CareerBuilder.com - One of the largest job search, employment, and career site out there.

• Yahoo! HotJobs - Thousnads of jobs. Find the right one.

• Jobing (Southern California jobs only)

• Quintessential Careers - Comprehensive career website for students, job seekers, career changers, and counselors. Includes career toolkit, job search, resume and cover letter help, books, and articles.

• Job Hunters Bible - The official site for the book, What Color is Your Parachute? Includes sections on research, contacts and networking, counseling, job hunting, jobs and resumes, and article archive.

• Career Tunnel - A specialized staffing resource center providing job listing and resume database access opportunities in multi-disciplinary fields of transportation, engineering, city and regional planning, and environmental planning/sciences.

• InternZoo - This site offers a simple, effective, and completely free internship database for college students. Students simply go on the website and search for an internship: they can search via industry, location and if they want, they can narrow the search by choosing what semester (or summer) they want to work, and whether they want to be paid or unpaid. There are approximately 500 internship postings, posted by employers, now and more are being added everyday. We have also added some cool new features like a newsletter and a Facebook application.

• TopResearchJobs.com - Job board primarily dedicated to the advertisement of research positions in academia, industry, government and foundations.

• Realcaliforniajobs.com - This site allows visitors to search California city, county, and state jobs from one site.

• kforce.com - Listings of all open jobs in San Diego (and other places) and personalized assistance.

• Jobspin.com - Job Search Engine for some of the best jobs on the Internet in a variety of fields.
