Career Counseling

Career counseling is available to help you with any career related concern you may have, provide assistance with selecting a major, review resumes, and other issues. Career Counselors are available on a walk-in or appointment basis. Click on the link for more information.

Job Listings

Thousands of jobs are posted each month for you. Local, national and international employers list opportunities with Career Services for SDSU students. Full-time, part-time, on-campus, off-campus, internships, etc are all online!

On-Campus Interviewing

Career Services hosts thousands of job interviews each year, open to students registered with Aztec Career Connection. Log in to ACC, make sure your profile is updated, and click on "Campus Interviews I Qualify For" to see who's looking to hire you!

Career Fairs

Career Fairs give you the opportunity to meet and learn about hundreds of different employers. Bring copies of your resume and ask a lot of questions.

Student Employment/Internships

Part-time jobs with Associated Students or Aztec Shops, Departmental Internships, and Volunteer Work. There are many opportunities listed in Aztec Career Connection, too!

Workshops designed to enhance your skills for the job search are offered regularly. Log in to Aztec Career Connection, select Events from the menu at the top, and click the Workshops tab.

Resources

Career Resource Room

The Career Resource Room, located in Room 1206 at Career Services, contains a wide variety of materials and resources to assist with finding full-time and part-time employment. Listings for internships and part-time jobs, including campus, volunteer, service learning and seasonal positions, are received and posted daily on boards according to function. Industry directories, job descriptions, current salary surveys, and promotional DVDs from a variety of employers are just a sample of the useful materials available.

Computerized Assessments

Various programs are available with a referral from our career counselors, and are used as diagnostic tools. CD-ROM and other software aid in preparing a resume, prepping for an interview, or researching a company or industry.

Employer Information Sessions

These sessions are generally informal "information exchanges" that provide you with an excellent opportunity to learn about a particular employer, program, or graduate school. These are useful for both career job seekers and undergraduates exploring career options. To see the information sessions schedule, log in to Aztec Career Connection, click on Events, then on the Information Sessions tab.

Services for Students with Disabilities

Career Services, in partnership with Student Disability Services and the State Department of Rehabilitation, offers specialized career services for students with disabilities.
