Assessment tools are available with a referral from a career counselor. To get a referral, come in during our Fast 15 hours (M-W 1 - 2:45 PM, Th & F 10 - 11:45 AM) or ask a counselor during your appointment:
TypeFocus is a personality profiler that helps you choose a career path that's likely to fit your personality type. Free for students registered with Aztec Career Connection.
Strong Interest Inventory ($10 charge, payable through WebPortal): Used to help you to clarify your interests and to identify majors and occupations related to those interests.
O*Net Interest Profiler is a Holland code interest survey
developed by the U.S. Department of Labor that generates a report with
a students' interests and a list of occupations in "Job Zones" (level
of educational development). Available in our Career Resource Room and online (open the Interest Profiler in a new window/tab).
O*Net Work Importance Profiler is
a tool that assesses vocational work values - what people think is
important in their work. The purpose of the WIP is to help participants
identify their most important work values and the possible occupations
